Numero Doce: By the Numbers

Clubgoers vary from young urban professionals, twinks to Kingkong Barbies, Cebuano locals, foreigners, to drag queens – the mix of people who follow the trend of Western clubbing. Welcome to the only gay bar of Cebu.

Numero Doce, the only gay dance club in Cebu, has been dubbed as the ‘O Bar’ equivalent of the city, bearing with it that euphoric feel that only eternal Malate could give.

It’s the club in the middle of Mango Square. It’s where Geri Halliwell’s It’s Raining Men was shamelessly mashed-up with Rihanna’s Only Girl (In The World) – and surprisingly worked!

It’s the club where most tourists and locals prefer to party pre-Sinulog grand parade.

Welcome to Numero Doce, the only gay dance club in Cebu. It has been dubbed as the ‘O Bar’ equivalent of the city, a euphoria feel of eternal Malate.

The choice of music played throughout the night varies from 90′s to recent pop chart toppers. With the likes of Spice Girls, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Beyonce, Daft Punk, David Guetta and many more, to hardcore techno, house remixes, RnB and hip hop, and of course, anthems we unconsciously memorized each lines.

Numero Doce is also known for their signature frozen cocktail drinks served in a pitcher; ‘Blue Kamikazee” and ‘Strawberry Margarita” are the most popular among the variety of mixes.

So next time you visit the Queen City of the South, don’t forget to check out Numero Doce in Mango Square Mall, located in the heart of Uptown Cebu.

April 2012 marked the fifth year anniversary of Outrage Magazine, still the only Webzine made for, and by members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in the Philippines.

The LGBTzine remains loyal to the reason of its existence, and we are proud to say that year-on-year since it was established in April 2007, Outrage Magazine’s scope has continuously broadened, as its reach has continued to grow, too. Our Website now gets unique hits as high as 60,000 per month, while our Facebook page alone (not counting our other online presence) gets over 22,000 unique visits per week. Most of our readers are Filipino LGBTs and/or allies who do not have other sources of locally-produced LGBT-related materials, and we have become their main source for these.

LGBT lifestyle has long invaded mainstream living – think Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, or IKEA, or gay speak, or disco, or brunch, or... you get the point. This makes the LGBT market, and those it affects, a goldmine for advertisers.

Consider that: 81% of LGBTs are more likely to use the Internet to obtain information about goods and services (Witeck-Combs); from 72% to 94% of LGBTs prefer to buy brands that market directly to them (Harris/Witeck-Combs &Greenfield Online); 89% of LGBTs are brand-affiliated, this means that it is “most likely or highly likely to actively seek out brands that had advertised in gay media” (Simmons); LGBTs spend an average of 30 minutes per day, 12 times per month online (Nielsen NetRatings); and LGBTs are twice as likely to be in management positions, twice as likely to have purchased online using a credit card, 79% are willing to pay a premium of quality products and services, 94% of gays and lesbians go out of their way to purchase products and services marketed directly to them in gay media, and 79% of LGBTs are highly likely to indulge themselves (@Plan, Simmons, Greenfield Online & Witeck-Combs).

It is time to target this market, we say.

So use us.

Abuse us, even.

This is the only time we will gladly let you.
