Truly growing out of Batman’s shadow is the DC character’s sidekick Robin, who – after being drawn as part of the LGBTQIA community in 2021 – is finally sharing his first kiss with his boyfriend.
This is part of the increasing number of LGBTQIA representation in comics.
Earlier, in “Batman: Urban Legends #6”, Tim Drake (a.k.a. Robin), the third person to pick up the mantle of Robin, had a “lightbulb moment” after realizing his attraction to his friend, Bernard Dowd.
In the new cover art for “Tim Drake: Robin #6”, which continues the telling of Robin’s story, Drake, dressed in his Robin uniform, is holding Dowd closely, as the couple shares a passionate kiss in the moonlight.

This issue will come out on 28 February 2023.
Earlier this November, the son of Clark Kent/Superman, Jon Kent, also came out as bisexual to his father.
Even earlier, the new Aquaman was also confirmed to be part of the LGBTQIA community.
