So you want to stay fashionable while still lending a hand to a worthy case?
Look no farther than The Project Red Ribbon Care Management Program’s (TRR) shirts.
Designed by one of its members, Steve David De Guzman, TRR shirts help finance The Love Fund, which is considered as “the heart and soul of TRR”, since The Love Fund provides medical assistance to indigent people living with HIV (PLHIV) in the Philippines.
“The Love Fund, the arm of TRR that directly helps our indigent Filipino PLHIV for their medical needs, requires regular donations,” said Pozzie Pinoy, founder of TRR. Just as the number of new cases of HIV in the country increases, “TRR also needs to increase its financial resources to match the growing need for assistance. Selling the TRR shirts will (definitely) help promote our advocacy and our care management program.”
Better yet, buying TRR shirts “will also enable individuals to help our PLHIV community with every purchase they will make,” Pozzie Pinoy added.
TRR is a care management program that links advocacy groups with individuals to assist them to obtain discreet HIV testing, while also conducting awareness programs, and most importantly, provide care and support for PLHIV. Compared to other organizations that have efforts for PLHIV, TRR “focuses solely on supporting PLHIV.” Notably, “99% of our managers are PLHIVs, so we know our concerns, we know our needs, we know our problems. We can support other PLHIVs properly,” Pozzie Pinoy earlier stated.
So far, there is only released one design of the shirt, which bears the logo of TRR. There are, owever, already plans to release more designs for HIV advocates and supporters, and the PLHIV community.
The TRR shirts costs P350 for all sizes, except for XXL which costs P370. Sizes available are XS, S, M, L, XL an XXL.
