The artist who made a name as Charice Pempengco now identifies as Jake Zyrus.

Jake – who made a name as a talent of star-maker David Foster after appearing with American TV giants Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey – was in hiatus since April, after breaking up with former partner Alyssa Quijano. He has since returned on social media sites, particularly Instagram and Twitter, where photos of the couple were not only deleted, but the new identity was also announced.

Jake – once dubbed as “The Most Talented Girl in the World” – has 925,400 Twitter followers, and 127,000 Instagram followers.

In an Instagram post, Jake said: “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and respect. I love you back and I’m sending peace to everyone.”
