Intersex org sets five-year agenda; eyes to implement realistic solutions to community’s issues

Intersex Philippines, Inc. held a two-day strategic planning and proposal writing workshop to bring to the front issues that members of the intersex community continue to face, as well as identify possible solutions to deal with these.

Board members of Intersex Philippines, Inc. (IXPI), the pioneering organization for intersex people in the Philippines, came together for a two-day strategic planning and proposal writing workshop eyed to bring to the front issues that members of the intersex community continue to face, as well as identify possible solutions to deal with these aforementioned issues.

Moving forward with a new strategic plan, IXPI hopes to focus on the “most urgent concerns” of the intersex community, including broadening the organization’s reach, dealing with its members’ health-related concerns, finding solutions to legal issues plaguing intersex Filipinos, as well as shedding light on the concerns of parents/guardians of intersex children.

“IXPI is filled with enthusiasm for the collective journey ahead — a journey that promises to be a significant stride in fostering unity and progress, elevating visibility for all,” said Jeff B. Cagandahan, president of IXPI.

Michael David C. Tan, editor in chief of Outrage Magazine, facilitated the strategic planning, and helmed the workshop.
