Militant LGBT group Kapederasyon has joined the voices of those who are calling for the resignation of Pres. Benigno S. Aquino III.
Multiple issues were raised by the group, including Aquino’s accountability as commander-in-chief of the bloody Mamasapano operation, as well as the killing of Jennifer Laude allegedly by Pfc. Joseph Scott Pemberton last October 2014 – an issue it links with the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) and Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA).
“Dahil tulad po ninyo, hindi na namin keri ang gubyernong tulad ng computer games ang turing sa buhay ng kanyang mamamayan. Isinubo sa tiyak na kapahamakan ang 44 na SAF at 18 na Moro gamit ang chakang script ng amo nitong imperyalismong Estados Unidos. Sa nadamay na walo pang inosenteng sibilyan, nabuwal ang halos walumpu! Nung nabuko, turuan ang mga loko (Like you, we don’t agree with a government that treats people’s lives like those in computer games. Kapederasyon asserts that LGBT Filipinos should be one with the Filipino people in the call “Noynoy Game over na!”
“Hindi na natin keri ang pahirap na gubyernong ito! Hindi na natin keri ang gubyernong ine-echos lang tayo! Hindi na natin keri na bonggang bongga ang korupsyon habang ang mamamayan ay naghihirap at nagugutom. Habang nagpapasasa si Aquino sa iligal na DAP, ang mga bakla sa parlor, nalolosyang na ang beauty kakatrabaho. Ang mga lesbyanang security guard, nagkakanda-kuba na sa paghahanap-buhay (We don’t like this burdensome government! We don’t like a government that makes fools out of us! We don’t like the grand display of corruption while people are suffering hunger and poverty. While Aquino is enjoying the illegal Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP), the gays in beauty parlors are stressed in doing hard labor. Kapederasyon called for members and the LGBT community to be in solidarity with the struggles of other basic sectors in Filipino society.
“Mga bakla sa parlor, lesbyanang sikyu, humungos patungo sa komunidad ng magbubukid, sa pabrika ng mga manggagawa, pamayanan ng mga maralita, alamin ang kanilang saligang suliranin, kagyat na kahilingan at interes, at tumulong sa pagmumulat, pag-oorganisa at pagpapakilos ng masang anakpawis! (Gays in the parlor, lesbian security guards, go to communities of farmers, in the factories of our workers, in the informal settlements of the urban poor, know their basic problems, urgent interests, and help in raising awareness, organizing of the toiling masses)!” Evangelista ended.
