It was in 2006, when she participated in the Ms. International Queen beauty pageant in Pattaya, Thailand that Shane Marie Madrigal found her calling to become a transgender activist, after realizing how disunited the community was. Not long after, she helped form the Transpinay of Antipolo Organization.
