Singer Jaya called out for liking, defending anti-LGBTQIA tweets

Watch who you name as your “gay icons”.

The singer known as Jaya has been called out as “anti-trans” who “believes drag queens are groomers” (or are people who pretend to look after children so they can then sexually abuse them later in their lives).

This started when drag personality, DeeDee Marie Holliday, posted an observation about Jaya liking posts from anti-LGBTQIA group “Gays Against Groomers”, which is basically a self-proclaimed “gay group” that spouts its opposition to drag queens, particularly those who hold book readings in public spaces, which is occasionally done overseas.

“After a long hiatus from social media, I would like to make an announcement. Jaya is anti-trans and she believes that drag queens are groomers. That’s all,” DeeDee Marie Holliday stated.

The singer – sadly with LGBTQIA fans, with impersonators even mimicking her – addressed the issue, claiming that she is not against trans people. Instead, she is against those who are “grooming young children here in America to get surgery without consulting with their parents and these kids can’t even drink alcohol or get a tattoo.” Based on the group Jaya is affiliating herself with, the “groomers” are drag queens.

Ironically, even while wanting to decide on the freedom of others, Jaya also defended her action by saying it’s about freedom.

“You are free to do, say and believe what you want – FREEDOM. Unfollow if you must,” Jaya posted in Twitter, adding that “this will be it for now” as she will “rest and pray for wisdom.”

She then asked her God, the “Father in Heaven please take the wheel. I only have love for you all”, adding that “to all my LGBT friends, who have been my closest friends for more than 40+ years and who do know me well, love you and you know my ❤️.”
