Milton Keynes has plenty of fun attractions and activities for families. From theme parks to museums to outdoor adventures, there are many exciting things for kids and parents to enjoy together in Milton Keynes.

Gulliver’s Land Theme Park

One of the most popular attractions in Milton Keynes for families is Gulliver’s Land Theme Park. This imaginative and interactive park brings the classic tale of Gulliver’s Travels to life. Kids can climb aboard the giant pirate ship, soar down the scary flume rides, drive around in colourful bumper cars, and explore Lilliput Land with its tiny houses and oversized furniture. With both indoor and outdoor rides and play areas tailored for different ages, as well as shows and character meets, Gulliver’s Land offers a full day out for the whole family.

Gulliver’s Dinosaur and Farm Park

Gulliver’s Dinosaur and Farm Park is part of Gulliver’s Land, but is a separate paid-for attraction. This is where kids can come face to face with dinosaurs and exotic animals. Take a stroll along Dinosaur Trail to see the moving, roaring dinosaurs up close, including family favourites like Stegosaurus and T-Rex. Then visit the reptile and bug centre to see snakes, lizards, frogs and bugs. The farm area has rabbits and guinea pigs that kids can pet and feed. Indoor play zones with trampolines and slides provide hours of energetic fun. With so many prehistoric and farm creatures to meet, it’s ideal for young animal lovers.

Milton Keynes Museum

For a bit of local history and culture, spend a day at Milton Keynes Museum. Families can journey back in time to experience Victorian village life. Costumed guides take you around the traditional farm, school, cottages and shops, showing what life was like in the 19th century. There are also original Mickey Mouse toys dating back to the 1930s, along with hands-on science exhibits in The Image Lab and a huge collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts. It makes history, science and culture come alive.

Emberton Country Park

Just outside the city, Emberton Country Park provides fresh air and outdoor adventures. If you are fostering in Milton Keynes, the large park has wooded trails great for walking, cycling or scooting. Kids will love playing and picnicking in the two children’s playgrounds. Cool off by paddling in Olney Lake during warm weather. Look out for birds and other wildlife in the peaceful parkland. And dogs are welcome too, so it’s an ideal day out for the whole family.
