Baguio lays out month-long schedule for Pride; parade celebrating LGBTQIA+ community slated on June 28

Baguio Pride Fest has been launched as a month-long celebration of everything LGBTQIA+ in the Cordilleras.

Baguio Pride Fest has been launched as a month-long celebration of everything LGBTQIA+ in the Cordilleras.

More aligned with the political Pride – as opposed to money-making Pride celebrations dominant in Metro Manila – the activities scheduled for the month include:

June 7
Seshyhan: Discussion on Pride militant history – An open-to-the-public forum highlighting the radical roots and history behind Pride

June 12
LGBTQIA+ mural painting – A collaborative mural painting promoting visibility, diversity and equality

June 29
LGBTQIA+ outreach – Providing support particularly to grassroots LGBTQIA+ sectors

With backing from the local government of Baguio City, a two-day “Baguio Equality Expo” is also scheduled from June 14-15. To be held at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center, activities slated include:

  • Miss Trans Global PH 2025
  • PaDollvoguean: Baguio Doll NatCos Competition
  • Lumablavarn 2025: Pride photo exhibit and fair
  • Sync Kafez: Battle of the Starzz

Pride in Baguio will peak on June 28, following the usual Pride parade.
