The busy world is nurturing hyperactive children and a next generation that is technology-savvy. Summer months are challenges to keep children busy with activities that can slow down their pace and allow them to connect better with themselves.

ECHOyoga Shala, which is all about sustaining a lifestyle that is healthy and connected, has announced that this summer, it opens yoga classes for the month of May for children ages six to 10 years old.

Starting May 6, every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:00PM, certified yoga teacher Marilen Elizalde – herself a mom and a former middle school teacher – will lead the program. With sessions that allow for insight, gentle stretching, loving action, and playful stretches, yoga will teach kiddies how to breathe by tuning in and focusing; to balance to feel composed and alive; to stand by becoming stable, strong, and grounded; to forward bend to reachout, release, and flex; to backbend to be open, supple, and trusting; and to time-in to unwind, rest, and revive.

Summer breaks are a perfect time to make children learn alternative new activities when they are more free and open.

Session fees begin at P500.

ECHOyoga Shala also offers body healing such as acupuncture, reflexology, ventosa, reiki, and chiropractor and massage sessions are now available by appointment. ECHOyoga Shala is located at the 3rd Floor Steps Dance Building, 8456 Kalayaan Avenue, Barangay Poblacion (behind Rockwell) Makati City.
