The very first Pride is scheduled to be held in Candelaria in Quezon Province on June 29, themed “One love, one Pride”.

The very first Pride is scheduled to be held in Candelaria in Quezon Province on June 29.

Themed “One love, one Pride”, the event is actually a project of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Poblacion, helmed by chairperson Francois Nicole A. Rivera, along with Alena M. Neameyer, Hanna Mary N. Leynes, Phillip Miguel L. Fester, Nicolai Red M. Capili, Terson Jan V. Baera, Lian Jane C. Reyes, and Meg L. Lubay. It is backed by Cuppa Hooch.

Various activities are slated on the day, including:

  • Hosting of a photobooth and freedom wall (3.00-4.00PM)
  • Pride parade (4.00-5.30PM)
  • Drag queens’ runway (6.00-8.00PM; where theDrag Queen Candelaria 2024 will be crowned)
  • Rave party (8.00PM-12.00MN)

“It’s time to shine and make a statement,” stated the SK Poblacion.
