Produced by Armi Rae Cacanindin, Noel Ferrer and Ferdinand Lapuz based on a material written by Gohetia, “I Love You, Thank You” follows the story of four gay guys as they struggle through the joys and pains of unrequited love within the colorful backdrop of Indochina. It stars Joross Gamboa, Prince Stefan, Ae Pattawan and CJ Reyes; as well as Sean L’ Estrange, Ville Thuy, Surachai and Yomjinda.

Already, the film was shown and/or recognized by the Rio Festival de Gênero & Sexualidade no Cinema in Brazil; 2016 Star Awards for Movies; Bangkok Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in Thailand; World Premieres Film Festival in the Philippines; Q! Film Festival in Indonesia; &Proud Yangon LGBT Film Festival in Myanmar; and Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival in India.

According to Omar Palero, a previous marketing person for Victoria Court, and who is helping organise the film showing, there is a “convergence” in the film’s theme and the HIV advocacy, since “many members of the LGBT community are affected by HIV.” Watching this film is, therefore, timely as it “gives us a glimpse of the life of LGBT people.” Palero added that, obviously, “by supporting the screening, we will help provide for the basic needs of underprivileged Filipinos living with HIV.”

HASH provides psycho-social support services to MSM and trans people who have been diagnosed with HIV.
