MEDIARTRIX-UST is a university-wide multimedia organization in University of Santo Tomas which primarily focuses on uncovering and nurturing skills, talents, and passion of Thomasians in visual, literary, and performance arts. After a year-long preparation, MEDIARTRIX-UST’s second Silver Year production, Tied on You, is finally here.
Following the success of the first Silver Year production – “Stages; Impossible Crossroads”, MEDIARTRIX presents another original film which highlights working hard in achieving one’s dream; however, this changes as the path diverts to another route.
As the lead character, Brian will be presenting the internal conflict that goes within an individual who finds themself stuck between the past and the future. The unknown will be challenging him to make amends with his past mistakes and achieve peace with his loved ones and life itself in order to truly be free.
The cast consists of Jio Jaramel who plays as Brian, Yllonah Bago as Jonah, Rainier Flores as Miko, Bryce Cabrera as Benedict, and Angelo Ocampo as The Guide.
The production is directed by Gilene Platero, written by Alexander Samonte, managed by Caila Remedios and Fianne Parada.
The original soundtracks, entitled Tali, Sa Pag-iisa, and Sumalangit ka na, among others, are written by Lean Trinidad and Marrione Marabulas.
“Tied on You” will premiere this April 14-15, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. on YouTube. It will be showcasing the talent, skills, and imagination of the entire production team while delivering relevant and timely themes such as self-love, acceptance, redemption, and courage.
