The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) administration approved the use of lived names for students graduating in this year’s commencement exercise.

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) administration approved the use of lived names for students graduating in this year’s commencement exercise.

The approval was conveyed by Vice President for Student Affairs and Services Tomas Testor to Student Regent JP Azusano, with the university’s Executive Committee reportedly agreeing to allow graduating students to use their lived names during the graduation rites.

To date, details on the official process and guidelines for the use of lived names during the commencement exercises have yet to be announced by the university.
