‘Jungle’ circuit parties scheduled on May 1 & 2

Kris Nuevo Events Management scheduled “Jungle: Manila’s Circuit Party” on May 1 and May 2. “I have attended many circuit parties around the world and have always wanted to have our very own,” says Kristian Sangalang, whose offerings aim to bring world-class partying in the country.

The heat is on at least in two parts of the Philippines this summer, as Kris Nuevo Events Management, owned by Kristian Sangalang, scheduled “Jungle: Manila’s Circuit Party” (or “Jungle Circuit Party”, or simply “Jungle”) on May 1 and May 2.

Traditionally speaking, a circuit party is dance event with a large group of predominantly male attendees who, yes, may be part of the LGBT community or not.

“I have attended many circuit parties around the world and have always wanted to have our very own. In fact, I often wondered why there is none when in fact Filipinos love these kinds of huge dance events. There are parties organized before ‘Jungle’, but I think these LGBT parties lack certain elements that make up a circuit event. The Filipino LGBT’s deserve more,” said Kristian Sangalang.

The May 1 event is the “Jungle Circuit Sunset Pool Party” at the roof deck of Tides Hotel. Gates open at 3:00PM; and music will be provided by the likes of DJs Jeck Magdato, Romeo Cavalcante, Brian Cua, Ace Ramos, Jay Santos, and Travis Monsod. There will also be performances by Martin Buen.

On May 2, it will be the “Jungle Circuit Glow Paint Party” at Juice Bar in Boracay. Music will be provided by Cavalcante, Cua, and Santos; with performances by Buen, and the GogoBoys.

Brazilian DJ Cavalcante will showcase the best Latin and tribal house music. DJ Santos is the first and only Filipino DJ invited to spin at Asia’s most recognized circuit party, SongKran9. DJ Cua was handpicked by Madonna herself to do the official remixes of two of her new singles in her latest album, Rebel Heart. Meanwhile, DJs Monsod and Ramos are in the EDM genre.

“I always try my best to give all guests the full (circuit party) experience,” Sangalang said. As such, “it is at par with international circuit parties, so all those amazing circuit party elements are taken into consideration – world renowned DJs, incredible performances, and a lot of surprises and gifts from us.”

Beyond partying, though, Sangalang said that the parties can also be a source of “joy and empowerment, as it is a festival of freedom.” The parties will also benefit pre-selected (yet unnamed) LGBT organizations that will be beneficiaries.

“‘Jungle’ might not yet be qualified to be ranked alongside Asia’s more well known circuit parties like Bangkok’s GCircuit, Taipei’s G5, and Japan’s Shangrila, but I am quite confident it will soon put us on the map,” Sangalang ended.
