Following accusations of sexual abuse, drag performer Lady Gagita released a statement debunking the allegation that she kissed without consent another drag performer.

In her version of what happened, Muning/Moonlight alleged that Lady Gagita repeatedly kissed her without consent while she was working under the Drag Den alum.

But in her response, posted on Facebook and shared to Outrage Magazine, Lady Gagita stated that, to start, she already “exerted the effort to reach out to Moonlight”, but no response was received. As such, she’s now opting to publicly “speak up and tell my own story”.

According to Lady Gagita, the incident – which happened sometime in 2021, when she was 26 years old and the one who made the allegation was 19 – was consensual. “While I might have initiated the kiss, I distinctly remember Moonlight kissed me back because it wasn’t a quick kiss and he reciprocated or accepted my initiation.”

Lady Gagita also mentioned her seamstress as a witness to what really happened.

“I did not take advantage and vehemently deny committing any sexual abuse or sexual assault upon this person,” Lady Gagita said. “Sexual abuse or assault is a big accusation. Never in my whole life could I imagine of doing such a thing. I do not condone it and I did not commit it.”

Lady Gagita added that if the accuser wants to deal with the issue amicably, she is “more than willing to talk to you. I hope you are too.”
