What once was private isn’t anymore.
The number of people who are becoming more open-minded about sex – particularly about public sex – is growing, which reflects a “generational shift” in sexual exploration.
This is according to LiveJasmin, a global player in adult streaming, which conducted a survey to find out how people really feel about public sex and masturbation. This particularly looked at who people’s fantasies are about (and who takes part in it) when talking about outdoor sex.
The survey found that outdoorsy sex habits are growing, and this could mean people are choosing to explore this surprisingly popular “kink” perhaps showcasing a “growing acceptance of unconventional practices.”
UNLOCKING THE THRILL OF OUTDOOR INTIMACY
In what LiveJasmin called as a “generational shift”, the collated data reflected a “new normal” in sexual exploration, with those aged 18-34 pioneering a more open-minded approach to sexuality.
This survey’s key takeaways included:
- The call of the wild
More than 45% of people craved outdoor sex, and 46% of respondents (UK and US) preferred seeing public sex shows. “The allure of outdoor fantasies is much more widespread than many people realise, as individuals seek to invigorate their intimate experiences by venturing outside of conventional settings,” LiveJasmin stated.
- The discoverers and the connoisseurs
Both the youngest and oldest respondents have the strongest cravings for explicit outdoor experiences:
- 51% of 18-24-year-olds would explore self-pleasure in a public space.
- 42% of people aged 65+ have enjoyed explicit acts in a public space.
- 46% of 18-24-year-olds have enjoyed explicit acts in a public space.
- Spicy sex in the US
Among the respondents, American respondents were the most likely to have enjoyed spicy sex outdoors.
- Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
US respondents also felt the most liberated to explore sex toy usage. Nonetheless, 55% of 18-24-year-olds would explore the use of male sex toys in the future.
- Freikörperkultur
The tradition of naturism is thriving in Germany, as 53% of German respondents stated being open to exploring self-pleasure in public spaces.
GROWING INTEREST
According to Sophie Rhyder, a LiveJasmin cam model, countless requests are being made for adventurous content, and so she had witnessed the growing popularity of outdoor eroticism first-hand.
“The outdoor masturbation fetish is really common. Users crave private sessions filmed in forests, live streams from cars, or scenarios in coffee shops and restaurants. Controlling pleasure remotely in public, combined with the thrill of the situation, drives users wild. Requests for custom videos in elevators or in front of windows are increasingly frequent and exhilarating,” Rhyder said.
As interest in public sex and masturbation surges, more people are looking to break free from their comfort zones, “literally stepping outside to do so. It is essential, however, that such escapades remain within legal boundaries,” LiveJasmin ended.
