Ultimate cannabis testing methods

The correct detection of the intake of illegal psychoactive substances in the material tested allows for the implementation of appropriate steps to facilitate the fight against this unhealthy addiction.

The most popular THC tests examine urine or personal items. The test can be done in the laboratory or you can buy one of the tests available in the pharmacy.

The number of tests carried out in schools or work is increasing.  Fortunately, there are many ways to beat tests successfully  – some of them are really effective.  You can pass the test by using, for example, fake urine kits.

In this article, you will learn about the most popular drug tests.

How to do a cannabis test?

Urine is the best material for detecting drugs. It is also possible to test blood, saliva and even hair, which will help detect the presence of various types of psychoactive substances. Both laboratory tests and tests for home use are available. Stand-alone test strips have quite a high accuracy, but ambiguous results should be confirmed in the analytical laboratory.

Marijuana test in urine

Psychoactive substances in urine last longer than in blood; cannabis is detectable up to a month, morphine up to 6 days, and ecstasy, cocaine and heroin – up to 4 days. After immersing the panel in the urine sample, after just 5 minutes we get the appropriate result. If the basic urine test is positive, it is worth having a blood test as soon as possible to exclude or confirm the presence of the drug in the body. Unfortunately, this type of diagnostics can give false results – the urine reaction can be changed by various chemicals, too low sensitivity or substitution of samples for testing. Similarly, the consumption of some foods, for example, dishes containing poppy seeds, often gives a false positive result, despite the lack of psychoactive use by the examined person.

Detection of cannabis in the blood

The concentration of the drug in the blood is maintained for the shortest period of time compared to other research materials. A blood test for psychoactive substances is usually used only in justified cases, as indicated by the medical service. Marijuana stays in the blood for up to 330 hours, ecstasy and cocaine – two days, and LSD – about 3 hours. At the same time, a blood test gives the most reliable and accurate result, while maintaining a sufficiently short sampling time.

Drug test in saliva

The saliva test is self-serviceable. The probe tip is wiped inside the mouth for 3 minutes, after which the soaked probe is placed on a special plate or saliva is introduced into the test windows. After about 10 minutes we read the result. Morphine, heroin and cocaine are detectable from saliva up to 24 hours, amphetamine up to 50 hours, while marijuana and hashish up to about 14 hours. Tests for the presence of drugs in saliva work analogously to urine tests, with similar sensitivity and speed, and allowing the detection of several drugs at the same time.

Diagnosing the presence of drugs in the hair

Hair is able to store even small amounts of drugs for the longest time. Traces of virtually all psychoactive substances are stored in the hair follicle for up to 90 days. The exception is LSD, which disappears after 3 days. Investigating the presence of drugs in the hair is the most discreet procedure that allows, if necessary, to perform diagnostics without the knowledge or consent of the subject, as may be necessary even in the event of the suspected use of the drug by a child or teenager. If despite a serious conversation and clarification of the consequences, the minor refuses to undergo voluntary tests, the examination of the hair obtained even from a hairbrush, allows detecting the presence of drugs taken up to 3 months back.

Currently, on the market, there are various, inexpensive self-testing tests that diagnose the presence of addictive substances in the urine. Tests, intended for home use, can be useful in cases where the child denies drug use, or we want to check his or her abstinence from psychoactive substances. They allow quick, easy and discreet diagnostics to confirm or deny drug use, both for children and adults.

The correct detection of the intake of illegal psychoactive substances in the material tested allows for the implementation of appropriate steps to facilitate the fight against this unhealthy addiction. You can also find fake urine kits to avoid the consequences of taking drugs. This can be useful if the tests are carried out by parents or at school. Drug use is not always associated with being a criminal, so such fake tests can be helpful if you do not want to be punished for it.
