Yes, it’s all for a good cause…

The globally recognized Warwick Rowers are back – yes, admittedly to titillate us with their 2017 naked calendar; though also, and as usual, for a good cause, since all profits from their sales go to charity.

The stripping started in 2009 with long-time photographer/producer Angus Malcolm, with the calendar itself using nudity to make a serious point about the need for a more inclusive culture in sport towards people who tend to be marginalized on the grounds of sexuality or gender. Already, it helped establish Sport Allies, a charity organization funded by the sales.

“For the last seven years, it has been my privilege to work with the rowers to raise funds for their sport and to challenge homophobia in sport. I have seen the passion, dedication and commitment that they bring to both aspects of the project so it was a pleasure to be able to share with other young people from all over the world the idea that you can create a viable enterprise while also campaigning for social change,” Malcom said.
