Opposing human rights for all.

Argentina’s president, Javier Milei, has stressed his anti-LGBTQIA position by mimicking the far-right’s war on “woke” by stating that LGBTQIA “gender ideology constitutes plain and simple child abuse. They are pedophiles.”

“The mental virus of woke ideology” is “the great epidemic of our time that must be cured,” Milei said at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “This is the cancer we need to get rid of.”

The Argentine president is also known to be against feminism or the treatment of women as equal to men, immigration, and climate change efforts.

For Milei, not granting human rights to all is the solution. “It is essential to break these ideological chains if we want to usher in a new golden age,” Milei he said.

Already, an Argentine congressman, Esteban Paulón, has filed a criminal complaint against Milei for promoting negative stereotypes and encouraging violence against the LGBTQIA community.
