Pop star Sia’s newly-released single, “The Greatest”, pays tribute to the victims of the tragic shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida in the US this June.

This is the first single for Sia following the release of her seventh studio album, “This Is Acting”, in January.

The 40-year-old Australian singer’s music video stars 13-year-old dance prodigy Maddie Ziegler, who appeared in Sia’s videos for “Chandelier”, “Elastic Heart”, “Big Girls Cry” and “Cheap Thrills”. This time around, Ziegler appears as one of 49 young dancers who end their routine as a sea of bodies on the floor, along with the message ‘#WeAreYourChildren’.

The video was directed by Daniel Askill and produced by Radical Media.

“The Greatest” (ft. Kendrick Lamar) is out now.
