In Uzbekistan, a bill is reportedly being drafted to ban “LGBTQIA propaganda”, as announced via Telegram by Alisher Kadirov, leader of the right-wing “Milliy Tiklanish” party.

The politician’s comments were made as response to a post on the social networking site Twitter/X by Ivanka Trump, daughter of the re-elected US president Donald Trump.

An anti-LGBTQIA legislation is what Kadirov said is desired, so “in Uzbekistan, we are actively working on legislation that will prohibit any propaganda on this topic.”
