A ‘commitment ceremony’ was held for LGBTQIA people in relationships in Quezon City, where the local government unit (LGU) recognized that “true love knows no boundaries”.

Under the leadership of mayor Joy Belmonte, the city hosts a ‘commitment ceremony’ every year to “show its support to the local LGTQIA community,” according to the LGU’s post in Facebook.

This year, 140 LGBTQIA couples attended the event.

The endeavor was supported by District 5 Rep. PM Vargas, QC Councilors Chuckie Antonio, Dok G Lumbad, Don De Leon, Vincent Belmonte, Julian Coseteng, Ram Medalla, Sami Neri, Action Officers Ollie Belmonte, Atty. Bong Teodoro, Atty. Zandy Zacate, William Bawag, Atty. Mark Aldave, Ging Cristobal, Niccolo Cosme, at mga QC Rainbow Queens.
