LGBTQIA+ couples not allowed, and will be forcibly separated?

In the Municipality of Pagalungan in Maguindanao Del Sur, Barangay Layog started the implementation of “Operation Supak”, which targets LGBTQIA+ couples who live together, forcibly segregating them since the barangay chairperson – one Datu Faisal Mamasabulod Alhaj – claimed that this is prohibited in human law as it is prohibited in Islam.

First reported by 89.3 Brigada News FM Cotabato City, the LGBTQIA+ couples were abducted and then taken to the barangay hall, where they were reprimanded and told to stop their “bad deeds”.

Alhaj – who acted with his anti-LGBTQIA+ comrades, BPAT and local extremist religious personalities – was quoted as saying that the order to discriminate against LGBTQIA+ people in relationships came from their mayor, a certain Datu Abdilah Mamasabulod.
